Troubleshooting & Support

Having trouble with M0XY? Start with these checks to identify common setup and permission problems. If you still need help, our support Discord offers community assistance and staff support tickets.

Feature availability: Some M0XY features, including subscription-based priority ticket routing, are still in development. A missing command or option may not be released yet. Check the relevant guide before troubleshooting a planned feature.

1. Overview

Use this guide to check whether a problem comes from bot availability, Discord permissions, command access, or feature configuration. For feature-specific instructions, visit the Documentation Center.

2. First Checks

  1. Confirm that M0XY is in the correct Discord server.
  2. Check whether M0XY appears online and whether Discord is experiencing a service issue.
  3. Verify that you are using a command that is documented as available.
  4. Check your own role permissions and M0XY's role and channel permissions.
  5. Try the command in a different channel where bot commands are allowed.
  6. If you recently changed permissions, allow Discord a moment to update and try again.

If the problem persists, note the exact error message before requesting support.

3. M0XY Appears Offline

If M0XY is offline or not responding, first confirm it is still a member of the server. If multiple members or servers are affected, the issue may require staff investigation.

  • Check whether other bots and Discord functions are working normally.
  • Do not repeatedly remove and re-invite M0XY as a first troubleshooting step.
  • Report a persistent outage through the support server, including when it started and whether all commands are affected.

4. Slash Commands Not Appearing or Responding

Discord slash commands can be unavailable when the application has not been granted the appropriate access, when your role cannot use commands in a channel, or when a feature has not launched.

  1. Type / and look for M0XY in the command picker.
  2. Confirm your server and channel allow application commands.
  3. Check whether your role has permission to use the relevant command.
  4. Compare the command with the available commands listed in its documentation guide.
  5. If a command appears but fails, record the exact response or error.

Do not share application tokens, credentials, or private account information when requesting help.

5. Bot & Channel Permissions

M0XY needs the relevant Discord permissions to carry out moderation or post messages. Required permissions depend on the feature being used.

  • Deleting messages: Check the bot's Manage Messages permission in the affected channel.
  • Sending messages and embeds: Check View Channel, Send Messages, and Embed Links as applicable.
  • Moderation actions: Verify the relevant moderation permission and Discord's role hierarchy.
  • Channel overrides: Check for channel-specific denies that override the bot's server-wide permissions.

Grant only the permissions necessary for the feature. Avoid granting Administrator as a blanket fix. See the Moderation & AutoMod guide for more detail.

6. AutoMod Issues

Blocked messages are not being removed

  1. Check /automod status to confirm AutoMod is enabled.
  2. Check your blocked word list and whether the configured match type fits your test.
  3. Review exempt roles and exempt channels, including any applicable parent-channel exemptions.
  4. Confirm M0XY has permission to view and delete messages in that channel.

Warnings or logs are missing

Check the configured warning and logging settings, then verify that M0XY can post to the selected log channel. If escalation behavior does not occur, note that automatic punishment enforcement has not been confirmed as released.

Full setup instructions are available in Moderation & AutoMod.

7. Features in Development

Custom Embeds, Reaction Roles, Streaming Schedules, TikTok Integration, and subscription-related functionality have documentation describing planned behavior, but their availability may differ from the final design.

Before reporting a missing feature as a bug, check whether its guide identifies it as in development. Planned features may not yet have working commands, dashboard controls, or automatic integrations.

8. Information to Include When Reporting an Issue

Clear reports help community members and staff identify problems faster. When appropriate, include:

  • The feature or command you were trying to use.
  • What you expected to happen and what actually happened.
  • The exact error text or a screenshot with private details hidden.
  • Steps that reproduce the problem and when it started.
  • Whether the issue happens in one channel or throughout the server.
  • Any troubleshooting steps you have already tried.
Security reminder: Never post bot tokens, passwords, API keys, payment details, or other sensitive information in forum posts or tickets. Staff should not need your password or bot token to investigate a support request.

9. Community Help Forum

Best for everyday questions and smaller issues

Use the community help forum in the M0XY Support Discord for setup questions, configuration advice, minor problems, and general guidance. Other M0XY users may be able to share solutions without waiting for a staff ticket response.

Search for a similar discussion before creating a new post. Use a clear title, describe your issue, and follow up with the solution if you find one so other members can benefit.

Forum posts may be visible to other members. Do not publish private server information or sensitive details.

10. Official Support Tickets

Best for major or persistent problems

Open a support ticket in the M0XY Support Discord when an issue needs direct staff investigation, involves sensitive account or subscription information, or remains unresolved after reasonable troubleshooting.

Use the ticket-opening area provided in the support server. Include the issue details listed above, but avoid sharing secrets or unnecessary personal data.

Tickets are intended for direct assistance; opening multiple tickets for the same issue may make follow-up more difficult. Ticket response and resolution times are not guaranteed.

11. Premium & Pro Priority Support

M0XY plans to provide separate priority support access for paid subscribers after subscription verification and ticket routing are implemented.

PremiumPriority support ticket queue
ProHighest-priority support ticket queue

Not yet available: Premium/Pro subscriber verification, dedicated support access, and automated priority routing are planned rather than confirmed live. Priority means intended handling order, not guaranteed response or resolution times. Severe service-wide incidents may take precedence regardless of plan.

See Plans & Subscriptions for details.

12. Contact M0XY Support

All official help options are available through the M0XY Support Discord. Use the community forum for smaller questions or the ticket system for issues requiring staff assistance.

If an invite stops working, check the official M0XY website for an updated link.
